CoMABlues was commissioned by CoMA (Contemporary Music for All), the British organisation celebrating participation in new music-making at all levels. It is written for a minimum of 6 voices but can go up to many! It's a nod to my first vocal influences: Meredith Monk and Laurie Anderson.
It sets the experimental sound poem, Blues, by the Canadian poet bp nichol, which is used with the kind permission of Eleanor Nichol. It's about love and evolution.
It is published by CoMA in their 'partsongs' anthology, which you can buy (if you want to explore the whole range of pieces) here: http://www.coma.org/our-music/publications/#partsongs
I recorded a 6-voice version that was released by Goliard Recordings (2023).
