This was the culmination of an ambitious and essential project in schools that allowed children to reflect on their experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic. I then adapted words and absorbed some musical ideas into a choral work with the general theme of being trapped and experiencing freedom.
Unlocked was performed by Southend Choirs and local schools on March 20th, 2022 at King's Road UR Church, Westcliff-on-sea, and was supported by Arts Council England.
